Satellite view of the site of the Tyre causeway built by Alexander the Great in 332 BC. Sedimentation around the causeway created a peninsula that reaches what was previously the island of the ancient city of Tyre. More information in Zekkos (2007)

Pu’ukoholā Heiau built circa 1791. Slump failure at one of the entrances due to the 2006 earthquakes (between dashed lines). More information in Medley and Zekkos (2017)
